The key box is designed to store keys and is best suited in areas where it is essential to have keys in case of an emergency i.e. near emergency exit doors. The key box is made from a durable ABS Plastic with a glass element making it suitable for applications such as schools, offices, etc.

Fixing to a wall:

• 1. Using the mounting base of the unit, mark out the two fixing holes.
• 2. Secure the mounting base to the wall using x2 1” x 8 fixings (not supplied). Assemble the deterrent glass and face plate.
• 3. Once assembled push onto the mounting base until it clicks into place.

To replace the glass:

• 1. Remove the face plate by locating and pushing two brackets found on either side of the mounting base.
• 2. Assemble the deterrent glass and face plate.
• 3. Once assembled push onto the mounting base until it clicks into place.

In a fire or any other kind of emergency situation, the last thing you need is for staff to be unable to get out of the building because they either don’t have or can’t find keys for the nearest exit.

Use of our Quick Access ‘Break Glass’ Emergency Key Box is the perfect option to ensure that staff can quickly access keys and open the door for safe egress.

The key box is highly visible in a bright red color and provides secure but easy-to-access storage of keys for any doors with restricted access.

The key box’s rigid and robust construction from ABS plastic for the casing ensures that staff can easily get to the key in an emergency, but cannot otherwise take the key out of the box without breaking the glass and leaving evidence behind.

The glass on the front of the box is printed with the words ‘BREAK GLASS FOR KEY’, and is constructed from Perspex, which means the box is suitable for schools, swimming pools, and even food preparation areas. The key box measure 110mm across the diameter and is 30mm deep.

We also supply a Hammer and Chain for ‘Break Glass’ Key Holders to allow staff to safely break the glass without injuring themselves. And once your glass has been broken, either by accident or in an emergency, you can replace it with our Spare Printed Glass for the ‘Break Glass’ Emergency Key Box.
